Our Microsoft® Project 2013 course is also delivered by a certified Microsoft trainer and the content approved by Microsoft and PMI.

Participants will create and manage a project schedule using Microsoft® Project 2013 in this hands-on, case study based approach, utilizing practical exercises and real-life projects.

 

Target Audience

This course is designed for persons with understanding of project management concepts, who are responsible for creating and modifying project schedule and who need a tool to manage those project schedule.

 

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the basic features and components of the Microsoft Project environment.
  2. Create a new project schedule file and enter project information.
  3. Manage tasks by organizing tasks and setting task relationships.
  4. Manage resources for a project.
  5. Finalize a project schedule.

Delivery Methodology

Instructor led, project-based learning will be applied. Students will be guided by the course facilitators in applying MS Project to real-world scenarios. Multimedia, such as projector, will be used.

 

Prerequisites

Please note that you are required to take along with you to class, a laptop computer that has the prerequisite 2013 MS Projects software. If you do not currently have the MS Projects 2013 software installed on your computer you may utilise the following link to download a trial version of the software – http://www.microsoft.com/project/en/us/project-professional-2013.aspx (simply copy and paste link in your browser)

Participants enrolling in this class should have the following:

  1. A general introductory-level understanding of project management concepts.
  2. Basic end-user skills with any current Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Excel.

Course Includes

  1. All course materials – including handouts
  2. A certificate of completion when participants attendees a least 90% of the class
  3. 14 Education hours or PDUs with the Project Management Institute (PMI®)
